What materials did you use? 100% cottons, batiks on front and commercial prints on back. This was made for my step-daughter, at her request, for her office wall at UNC-Wilmington. The colors are school colors: teal, navy, and sand. The back includes a guitar-playing flamingo (she plays guitar and graduated from FL) and a lighthouse/sailboat print (her Dad and I used to live on a sailboat, and she lives on the coast of NC with all its lighthouses).

What are you most proud of? It's pretty :-)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you're not an experienced and skilled quilter, work with bigger blocks for your first one.
