Sewing: no sew multi vest/dress
124 kudoz

no sew multi vest/dress

better colors for it

with a belt
as wrap around dress
or just open vest style
better colors for it

Instructions

just cut a length of fabric (however long you want it) fold in half, measure in from seam about 5" and from top about 7" and cut a circle for arm holes ....thats it

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Casual

Materials

material, scissors

What was your inspiration?

wanted a nice long vest

What are you most proud of?

the way it looks so many different ways

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I think a plain color would look better, especially when open but this is the fabric I had, also use a lightweight non fray fabric with stretch to it so no sewing is needed around edges to get the nice draped look

Heeeelp.... Can't figure out where to measure & cut?! Fold fabric in half & cut on fold 5 or 7 inches down from fold? Won't I end up with 2 open sides & my head sticking out the middle of fabrIc?

Cindi, this is sooo cute! I've made an open vest before but haven't even THOUGHT about making it into a cute sundress or even formal wear! Way to think outside the box!! =] You made my day! haha.

I love the color and if it was a little longer in the front bottom, you could add buttons down the front and make a dress!
