Purchased twill tab top curtains. Quilters cotton solids. 7/8" Grosgrain ribbon. Fuse-able webbing. 7/8" double sided fuse-able tape
What was your inspiration?
My daughter lives in Massachusetts in a cape cod style home. She wanted her sitting/play room area to reflect the personality of Cape Cod without being too matchy, matchy.
What are you most proud of?
Finding the perfect colors to match her accent pillow and chair and presenting her an idea she fell in love with that wouldn't cost a fortune.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Preshrink fabric and curtains first. If you can, use curtains that you already have and just update them to cut cost. I did buy an inexpensive pair at Walmart, but being inexpensive has it's pitfalls. I am not sure it the curtains started out different lengths, but did end up being different lengths. My daughter will have to adjust her rod placement when they hang the new rod so that they 2 pair look the same. At least they weren't on the same wall so it isn't as noticeable.
