What was your inspiration?
I need something different to wear, I seem to be wearing the same thing all the time for years and I wanted to experiment with my felting machine which I used for the appliques. Videos and instructions for making the no pattern skirt and top which I have been making for years are on my blog: http://carolynscanvas.blogspot.com/ for you to check out. You can make the skirt in any length you choose and use any top pattern you have for knits. I always make v neck tops and use my patterns over and over.
What are you most proud of?
That I made something for myself and put them online for others to be able to follow and make.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I buy the knits which is usually 60" wide. It is comfortable and easy to wear. You can make this very plain or very elaborate. I usually wear very plain clothes, I don't like all that glitz but I love making them. You can use traditional applique methods if you don't have a felting machine.
