What materials did you use? Cotton quilting fabric for top, muslin for backing, polyester batting, and coordinating threads

What are you most proud of? I really like how the Buddha head turned out! I took a picture, and blew it up to be about 22 X 25 inches - then printed it on thin paper, and used 505 spray baste to attach it to the quilt sandwich, then FMQ'd away, following the lines [sort of]. I also like the color combination - orange for the robes the monks wear, and Buddha is usually painted gold, so the color scheme was a no brainer to me.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just have fun and go with the flow. I'm learning to not stress so much over the tiny imperfections that aren't even noticeable once all is said and done, so that's what I say to you, don't stress, don't worry, be happy, and smile, like Buddha. Namaste'.

You did such a beautiful job with the quilting. I love how you show us the detail on the back.

Thanks. I think the fabric on the Buddha panel is a little too busy and you couldn't see the quilting too clearly so that's why I shot the back, because it showed up so much better. My friend said she loved it though, and that's all that matters, right? LOL Thanks for the kind words. :-) :-) :-)

Thank you. Lisa STILL comments how much she enjoys her gift. So it does my heart good to know I matched the quilt to the person, or the person to the quilt??? LOL Thanks again.

Hi, Sheila! You are all over my profile, checking out my projects! I appreciate all the nice things you say about my quilts. I enjoy quilting, it relaxes me, and I guess it lets my creative side out, although I keep saying I'm not really creative, artistic, or crafty. Your stuff is pretty cool too. Cheers!
