What are you most proud of? I think the rear shells turned out excellent... i have to see if we got some good pictures. We used a faux leather remnant from the fabric store and its perfect.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Measure, remeasure, and then give yourself a couple more inches than you think you need :) I had to take more measurements than stated in the class because the kids are so little. Their heads are the same circumference as their shoulders so the opening for the head can actually fall down. I made some ovals instead of circles to keep them from falling off.

What a great aunt you are! The greatest measure of success is the energy those turtles are putting out! This is the sort of sewing that has the greatest pleasure in it; I made a lot of costumes for my kids and every one was played in over and over again. Making great memories is the best!
