Materials

100%Cotton Fabrics; acrylic paints + textile medium; inktense pencils

What was your inspiration?

This quilt is for my new great niece. While she was on the way her mum was having trouble with her two big sisters sleeping through the night. As mums, we all know how important sleep is.

What are you most proud of?

It was the first time I have used inktense pencils. I am looking forward to experimenting some more. Thank you to both Wendy Butler Berns and Annette Kennedy for the encouragement to try something new.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun and experiment with new techniques.

Thank you. I don't really have a pattern. I worked out the size of the quilt then I drew the owls to size and traced them only fusible webbing.

This is really a different quilt. I really like it. The fabrics, colors are wonderful. Your creation is adorable. The quilting on it is just right. I really like the stitch that you used around the owls. What a wonderful gift. Thank you for sharing.
