What advice would you give someone starting this project? THE PATTERN IS AT THE LINK ABOVE under "What was your source for this crocheting project?" Or, start with a flat circle crown, then choose a stitch that you like for the sides. I used a shell pattern of *sc, skip 1, 3 dc, skip 1, repeat from*. Each shell's dc is in the sc of the previous shell row and the sc is in the center dc of the previous row.

Simple pretty little baby hats. Good for you Jeanie for donating so many hats to your local hospital!

Great idea. I've been making baby bonnets since I was little. My grandmother started me out with a ball of yarn and a needle. Mostly to get me out of her way lol. But I have through the years have made many, many more. I am self taught so when I see a new and interesting pattern I get a big smile and ask myself "what color will this one be?

I love your hats. I'm going to be a great grandmother in June. I haven't made a hat yet.
