What was your inspiration?
My friend gave me her old quilt that her grandma made for her more than 40 years ago. I ripped out the girls, choose the best nine , and applique them in a new muslin background. I choose the star block to be around the girls.
What are you most proud of?
I will give back this quilt to my friend, so she remember her grandma...
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The girls are made with embroidery, cute fabrics (maybe from the '30 or '40), but you can do a modern version of them. Try it!
