What was your inspiration?

Had this lovely English panel print for years and always wanted to make a quilt around it.

What are you most proud of?

I used scraps!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take a look at your stash--any panel prints you love? Maybe you can base a Log Cabin quilt on your favorite!

Nice camera work with the branch shadow and the quilt theme - beautiful colour choices!

ny need to 'get rid of my stash'. I love my stash because without it, you can't make truly scrap quilts and those are my favorite kind no matter the design.

At first glance, I thought the 'shadow' branches were actually part of the quilting, and said, "Wow, I LOVE that idea; wonder how she did that"!! Then I enlarged the view and realized you took the picture outside. But, it sure adds a different dimension to the quilt!! Love the quilt!! Beautiful color choice.

I have a border that I LOVE and I think I may try to create the middle "panel" from it. Love this idea possibly using story book panels for children's quilts.

I was tickled to see your video on this. I have the same cornflower blue fabric (and in tan and in fuschia). Not that I am obsessive. Only you and I know how old that is! I used it several times as it was a wonderful fabric for fill in, background or right up front. Loved it.

I have a few panels in my stash. I will have to try this method.
