Brass pendant and Clasp from Nepal. Green turquoise and green magnesite. Tiny African brass spacers.
What was your inspiration?
I bought the clasp several weeks before I bought the pendant. I wanted to make something special with the clasp so I waited until I found the perfect pendant and was able to match the colors of the gemstones to do the components justice. The rose is a perfect match in both the clasp and the pendant, both were purchased from Nepalese Beads.com I love this piece and I am tempted to keep it!
What are you most proud of?
I love the way the colors all work rogether, I had to blend some of the greens to get the look I wanted.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be patient, measure the beading material you use carefully. I used 5 strands of turquoise and magnesite, if one strand is longer or shorter than the other it will not work and you will have to restring.
Know who you are buying your materials from, so you can be sure you aree getting the best for your money.
