Make It
This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
ELEPHANT - Plush Toy sewing pattern »
Instructions
Ensuring the tusks are the right way round can be tricky. Take some time to make sure you get it right, it's frustrating having to unpick your work, as I had to.Some parts of the toy are difficult to sew on the machine, purely due to the angle you have to try and get the material at, when that happened I hand-stitched it; so much easier.

What was your inspiration?
A friend recently had a baby and I wanted to make something other than bibs.
I began looking for soft toy patterns and this was by far the cutest one I saw. I really liked that you could personalise the project by using different material on the ears and feet. I also added a ribbon around the neck and used my name tag as the tail.
What are you most proud of?
How well it turned out, despite the fact that my sewing wasn't always stitch perfect.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be patient and always check each step as you go along. It can be a bit fiddly and some parts are easier to handsew.
