Need a hug Bear

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Need a Hug Bear »

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Toy

For: Infant/Baby

What was your inspiration?

New niece or nephew on the way, I always like to knit them something.

Just makes things harder when you don't know what they're expecting.

What are you most proud of?

I'm proud that it actually looks like a teddy bear even though it does not look like the one the pattern displays.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If your not use to sewing projects together then you may find this difficult. I got so frustrated trying to sew the limbs on evenly and in place. I also used the extra help instructions to construct the bear, which were very helpful.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I actually bought the yarn in a knitting kit with a teddy bear pattern, from a Big W store . I stopped mid way through knitting it and after some time (months) I found the yarn and bits but lost the pattern. This pattern however was much easier to comprehend. Thank you.

All I can say is that you have produced a beautiful bear. I'm not sure what the yarn is but it look perfect for this bear, love what you've done for the ears too. I'm sure your new niece or nephew will love his/her special bear. As for the time to create your bear, it was your first one so I would say you did it in good time. It takes me a couple of days and the more time you spend on creating your bear the better it will be. I love your bear. Thank you for taking the time to comment on the pattern and post a photo of your finished bear.
