This Orthoceras fossil is a genus of extinct nautiloid cephalopod. They are slender, elongate shells and their surface is ornamented by a network of fine lirae. I have set the fossil in a sterling silver Viking knit bezel, which has created a spider web like pattern, reflecting the detail of the fossil. The pendant is 1 3/4" tall (including the bail) and 1/2" at it's widest point. The pendant hangs on a 17 3/4" sterling silver chain. Thanks for looking :)
