What are you most proud of? Learning how to put in the invisible zipper--easy, once you have the right sewing foot!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take Diana's course. Don't give yourself a deadline, and check to make sure your fabric doesn't have a nap, or if it does, you lay out your pattern pieces the right way. Take time to make the muslin. It helps if you have someone to help with pinning it on you so that it fits properly.

You are so right about checking twice before cutting (and sewing, too). I have learned that the hard way . . . many times. Good job on the skirt.

It is good to know that more experienced sewers still have to rip out and redo! Thanks for the encouragement!

Nice looking skirt. I am waiting for an invisible zipper foot in the mail. Looking forward to making 3 skirts.

Thanks, I have a better photo of it, but it wouldn't upload. I bought and used the plastic invisible zipper from Fabricland, but since I bought a new sewingmaching, I was able to buy the metal one, but haven't used that yet.

Great job on your skirt. Like the color choice.
