Learn It
This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Sewing Studio: Fashion Fitting, Home Decor & More »
Instructions
To make this skirt come out successfully, it is recommended to purchase all the tools to sew. I haven't hand stitched a hem before, so this was exciting to hand stitch the hem, the waistline, and the zipper! I've never made an outfit with a lining either. I learned so much from this course. The pictures don't do it justice for the quality and beauty of the pattern.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
Diana Rupp! She is an inspiration and an awesome instructor.
I made this after coming home from a long trip. I wanted to destress and experience the joy of making a hand-made outfit. It made me happy the entiire time I made it, even though there were times the lining seemed to be a bit fussy.
What are you most proud of?
The perfect fit of this skirt. It's classy and fits beautifully.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Every stitch counts - don't rush through the pattern just to get it done.
Also, spoil yourself and pick a beautiful fabric - as long as you make the toile first.
