Materials

All Moda: Nature's Garden Layer Cake by April Cornel...beautiful blues and yellow and had it quilted by Missouri Quilting Co! Waiting to get it back now..

What was your inspiration?

Love blue and this seemed like a good second quilt to try. Put a thin green piping around the border to break up the blue and yellows....to good effect I think....little details like this let the quilt pop!

What are you most proud of?

Finishing it! Started in Australia over 12 months ago and finished here in USA last month...brought all my quilting things with me except my machine. Also added a narrow green flap which was new to me, just inside the main border and I also mitred the corners....well 3 of them looked great! Next time I will get all of them to look great! LOL

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Easy to do, just take care with the points - which i will do next time...but for my second quilt I think it is great....fabric is beautiful. Also I would take out the dark squares and use in another project...but I didn't know that then....and the course with Jenny is great...something I learned from her...

Lovely - and I do agree about Jenny Doan - I've learnt so much from her free You Tube videos.
