What materials did you use? Front: Nascar Tshirts, Flags on blue fabric, Fusible Interfacing.. Scrappy Back: Tshirt fused, leftover US flag, checked flag fabrics. I created b&w center flags from Kona cottons. I created US flag from red, white and blue scraps.

What are you most proud of? For the creative quilt back I had a couple of Tshirt pieces leftover from the front, plus I had some extra fabric to make a symbol of a USA flag. I also incorporated Kona Black and plain white fabrics to make a checkered flag symbol. I also used up some more of the flag fabric I had used as "fill fabric" on the front. I just kept adding pieces to it as I needed to come up with the size I needed. The back was a lot of fun but work, to create. But I almost like the quilt back more than the front!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? There are lots of Tshirt quilt patterns out there but I liked this one in the asymetrical design, as not all of my Tshirt pieces were the same size. I was able to cut and piece them how I wanted. I made a mistake and used a medium-weight fusible interfacing to stabilize my Tshirts. It's almost too heavy-- I would recommend using the lightest weight fusible interfacing possible.
