What are you most proud of? The colours are not my favourite but I chose them because I thought they were very much Nana's. Nana was extremely chuffed that I had taken the time to make it for her and would do it again for her just for the smiles alone.

I have made this pattern twice, but your fabric selection tops any vision I had! I am re-working one now, so perhaps I can gain some much needed inspiration from your beautiful quilt. Thank you for sharing it.

What is the name of this beautiful pattern?

I made a quilt top using this pattern (no applique) way back in the early 80's. I can't remember whether the pattern was in an American quilt magazine or whether I just copied it from a photo. It looks complex, but is very easy to do. To make the blocks, just add triangles to the four corners of the large square, keeping in mind that there are two colours. Add strips of two alternating colours to the small triangle.

It looks so fresh and lovely. No wonder your Nana likes it.
