What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't feel intimidated by the complicated looking lace instructions! If you break them down into the "butterfly part" and the "faggotting part" it gets more manageable and after a few repeats you'll understand how the construction works and it will become almost intuitive. A tutorial for the more complicated bits can be found here: http://rewolluzza.wordpress.com/2013/04/21/nachtfalter-hints-and-tips-for-the-butterfly-lace/ You can knit this in one color or take the colorblocking route. It's also not absolutely necessary to use two different yarns for the lace and cable parts - but it's part of the fun!

Wow! I don't knit, so I am amazed. Looks so very modern and fits you perfectly! I LOVE everything about it...the colors, the fit. Beautiful Job!
