What materials did you use? Our study, well I have taken over half of it... I left a little bit of space for my husband! A table for sewing, shelves for storing fabric, batting, quilting mags/books, notions and unfinished quilts and projects. (I still need a good chair and travel iron)

What are you most proud of? This used to be our study but I have taken over half of it and turned it into my lovely new space which means no more tidying away my work when I want to entertain as I had been working in my dining room. I am so pleased with the table that my son-in-law gave me which is just perfect and my other son-in-law made my shelves. So thankful for their generosity.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This has been so much fun going through my fabric stash and organising it and now I can see at a glance what I have and need.

Oh, Yummy Desna. Now, no more excuses. I want to see some action on your Stack and Whack. You are blessed indeed to have the family help. Makes it so much easier. If anything like my hubby, they are glad to have the pins off the dining room table and the rugs in every room. LOL

Haha surfside I came upon my book and rulers for it and thought of you. I have a few sensory quilts I have to finish for my new little grandkids then I promise to try it out

Oh - wow! You are SOOO organised (and I am SOOO envious!)! How lovely not to have to put everything away when the table/room is needed! Lucky you - I'm still doing the equivalent of "hot desking"!

What a lovely sewing space! You must be so glad to get off the dining room table. Setting up an ironing board by your sewing desk will so handy. And it looks so neat & tidy! (My room looks like a bomb went off - I guess I must like that way since I can't seem to get it neatened up!)

Thanks Darns I love my new space although I have still some sandwiched quilts lying on my dining room table eek!!!! I have gotten my little travel iron and am in the process of making a ironing cover for a fold away table so it will be better than running up and down the stairs to press!

Oh and I should say that these pictures were taken on the first day of setting up so it is not just so tidy now!!!!
