Just like you, Stefanie, my grandma taught me to knit when I was 8 years old. However, UNLIKE you, I didn't stick with it. Oh sure, I've knitted squares or rectangles in knit or purl but then, life got hectic and I put down the knitting. Fast forward 40 years and now, I'm so pleased with this little lace scarf! The knitting needles I used were larger than directed, so it's too big for a head wrap, but I'm anxious to make another one in the correct size needles. Thank you so much, Stefanie, for all the patience and terrific tips you shared along the way! I was really terrified of doing this because the yarn was not easy to work with, but I just LOVE IT. Many thanks for transforming me into a 'knit-wit' once again. It is so relaxing as well as rewarding!! Rosanne Spinner

Thanks, Julie! I thought it was wonderful yarn, too. It has a self-striping quality about it, which makes even easy projects look wonderful. That being said, I think in the future I will do "lace" patterns in a solid color so that the lace pattern stands out better, but I'm super happy with this, and the yarn I used is so-o soft and warm, and not at all itchy.
