What materials did you use? I used a great variety of scraps that I have accumulated during my quilting projects, and I seem to save all kinds of fabrics. The lining was a brown print that I had gotten for a tablecloth project and I did purchase some fake leather fabric for the bottom. I stayed in the brown/blue/yellow/orange/tan/green fabrics, which means almost anything worked!

I just love the process of the quilting this way. I did get confused with putting together the outside and the lining the same way...seemed to end up with handles put together wrong! But I worked it out! I truly love having my grandkids also sew with me and learn so much, that's why I included one of their projects...an 8 year old girl did that work!

This is great! I'm glad the handles worked themselves out! My mom taught me to sew when I was young, and I'm sure your granddaughter will treasure these lessons as well!

Thanks Tara. We do enjoy sewing together.
