My Second Quilt (Finished)

For My Son

Pattern Info

Instructions

You really need to use a design wall to lay this out. I didn't have one, so I took off all the pictures from my dining room wall and tacked everything up there. It left a lot of tiny holes when done! So I highly recommend buying a commercial sheet that you can pin things to without ruinging your wall.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Materials

Fat quarters of various cottons.

What was your inspiration?

The book, Color for the Terrified Quilter by Ionne McCauley and Sharon Pederson published by Martingale.

What are you most proud of?

Completing it totally by myself including renting time on a long-arm to quilt it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use a design wall.

really beautiful. Loved your bio...especially the part about "jumping into things without thinking them through..." , I can so relate to that!

This is probably one of the prettiest color blends I've seen. Great job!

You quilts are lovely. Did you use a pattern for this one and how long did it take to complete?

Yes, I did use the pattern listed above. It took me 3 months because I didn't have a clue what I was doing or how to choose the colors.
