What materials did you use? Deborah Norville Premiere Sock Yarn. 50% wool, 25% Rayon (from Bamboo) and 25% Nylon.

What are you most proud of? I finished them! I used the Turkish Toe Cast-on, the afterthought heel and did them two at a time after making the toes separately. I started on 2 circs, but then tried magic loop and love that method. I have three other pairs in the works right now.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't give up-if it doesn't work the first time, just keep practicing! It's ok to rip it out and redo it. I had to do the Kitchener graft 3 times before it was right on one of the socks-and this was after the first sock heel went in like a charm!!

Great socks, I also recently started sock knitting. What kind of heel is it? It looks interesting, seems to be knitted like a toe. Do you have problems with holes in the heel area?

I used the afterthought heel from the class. Yes, ended up with a very small hole where I joined the yarn. Just weave in the ends to close the hole. Donna shows it well in the afterthought heel section. It does resemble the wedge toe!
