What materials did you use? Cotton material and some silk material for the sea.

you could cut a slit in the back add some batting to the turtle shell for more diminsion and losely sew shut and baste the background fabric and batting in place to keep from shifting

My grandson made a pillow for his mom for the baby shower, and he used this block for the other side of the pillow. He only wanted to make one side. So Gramy said he could go through my blocks. But he sewed it all together. It looked amazing. I will post a pic.
