these are pictures of my scrapbooking room my husband Rich designed and built for me. I love my space!!! It is perfect. As you can see I have jars for all my embellishments, a cutting table for my cricut machine, my shelves for some of my stamps, embelliments and ribbons.

What was your inspiration?

My husband knows how much I love to scrapbook and he wanted to do something special for me. So he looked through some magazines, we came up with a design that would work in the room and went shopping for the cabinets. The theme in the room is beachy with the seashell pulls on the drawers and cupboards including the blue counter tops. Cape Cod inspired the theme!

What are you most proud of?

My husband and the scrapbook room he designed and built for me

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Keep in mind what you plan to do with what area of the room, crafting, cutting, sewing, plan on lots of storage space, keeping things that you use most often handy.

boy, this guy knows where it's at...a Cameo Silhouette on top of all of this?? None of my boyfriends even know not to use my scissors to open their beer bottles (kind of a joke -- sort of). I'm moving next month to a different (aka more expensive) coast and want to take my room (albeit no where near as cool as yours) with me....I still haven't allowed myself to think about losing my craft room...

I am so jealous! Love your Studio, he did a great job. I have a general Craft Studio, for every craft I do! And I did most of it! But then, he now has a Man Cave, and I don't clean it at all! That is his job. :)

I have just shown my husband, first words was its a kitchen, I said have another look, he said suppose you want one like that, hmmmmmm now he is a builder, so no I suppose not.

I have rented a storage unit in a climate controlled storage facility in order to have a storage room for all my crafts. My husband has been very very helpful. But one day I hope to have a room in my house.

Beautiful well-organized space. I'm working on my sewing space now. I'm going to use those portable folding tables so I can move them around for large projects. I also use a lot of plastic drawers of all sizes to sort and store fabric and trims. I don't clean up everyday but made a rule that I have to clean up the last project before I start on the next one. I only break that rule when I'm working on multiple projects simultaniously. It's great to have dedicated space for your creations. Like your own "woman cave"

Your craft room is awesome!! WOW!! I love it, its beautiful, love your cupboard space. Wish i could do that in my studio. Doing cupboards like taht here in South Africa is hugely expeince. I just posted pic of my studio today 20/7. Its amazing I'm in awe. wow wow. regards PAM

I have my own crafty room as well. My boyfriend put a stereo in it and hooked up speakers in like your husband did for you. It's great! I really love my crafty room as well. Although not as clean as yours (someday it will be. smile). My problem is I don't enough space (cupboards and such) to organize everything as I would like to. I have to get them a little at a time and sometimes I just get frustrated. I will use your crafty room picture as my inspiration to keep working on it. Thank you!

Thank you Marylin, I love my room and can be found in it daily now that I am retired. Believe me when I tell you it doesn't always look this clean,. I am a messy crafter and usually have product all over the place but I make it a rule to have the room picked up by the end of the day. I will look forward to you posting pictures of your room in progress.

I love my space, I can be found in here at least once a day for a while scrapbooking, making cards of doing some sort of craft....my grand daughters also love being in here, when they visit we find them in here most times coloring or painting or waiting for me to assist with my cricut machine making some fun project!

Thank you, yes I have a wonderful kitchen also. We remodeled about four years ago after coming home from Italy, it is an Italian kitchen, he faux painted the walls a beautiful three layer process, stone counter tops ect...I do love that part of my house also! My scrap room is awesome, I have everything organized, chalks-paints-stamps in one cabinet, ribbons in another all different stuff....embossinig machine and folders/diecuts in another, so at least now I know where things are!
