Instructions

Step 1. In the fall, cover desired garden area with a thick layer newspaper and/or cardboard to kill weeds and encourage earthworms to till the soil. -2x10 untreated pine boards. -box roofing nails -Roof framing brackets (not necessaray, but will add stability to the boxes.) -Garden soil -shredded pine mulch -newspaper/cardboard -fencing material

What are you most proud of?

Beautiful layout, functional, virtually no weeds, and the plants are a lot more productive.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I would use cedar boards if I were doing this again.

This is a gorgeous raised garden. I like the way you have partitioned it off from the rest of the yard. Something people might want to add is a 1x6 on the top to use as a seat or platform. With my health issues this makes it much easier for me to work in. :-)
