What materials did you use? Cotton flannel; polyester thread and batting. Printer paper. Water soluble marker.
What are you most proud of? Instead of a backstitch I used an outline stitch which gives more definition to his features on flannel. This went together quick and easy in just a couple hours.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? The pattern prints in four (4) pages that are joined together by matching up crossing lines. As you line them up cut away the extra layers of paper. This helps when transferring the pattern markings. You can see through one layer of paper much easier. You might want to make a tissue pattern. If using a soluble/disappearing marker be sure to test your fabric first. Make sure the markings aren't going to come back.... I used a stabilizer for the embroidery so the flannel wouldn't become distorted. I also reinforced stitching in key areas to make sure the flannel seams hold over time. When you stuff - start with the extremities first (ears, paws) then fill in top to bottom. Use a blind stitch to close the opening when done.
