Do you sell this cake? Yes

Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Made this for a friend, she only wanted single layers not stacked. I used moulds for the sea shells and star fish. They were made from fondant and gum paste. I made the coral by hand using royal icing. I drew a coral and placed wax paper over the drawing and traced it with royal icing. The pearls were dipped into pearl dust that was mixed with a bit of vanilla extract.

What are you most proud of? It was my own creation .

What advice would you give someone starting this project? There was a lot of steps involved in making this cake. I gave my self a lot of time and prepared everything In advanced. The day before the wedding I only had to put it all together.

How do you make the seaweed and would it be more realistic to have it in different colors

What class covers this cake.

There was no class covering this cake. I took what I knew and used my imagination. I researched the Internet and found silicone moulds, and as far as the coral goes, I drew the coral on paper and cover the drawing with wax paper. I then piped over the drawing with royal icing. I had to make a lot of coral because when dried it was like handling fragile glass. I a, it to sure as to what I would actually charge for this cake even just 3 layers. I made this for a person and for a wedding gift I did not charge other than the cost of material. How much do you think I could have charged?

Thank you for getting back with me. I was wondering if it was royal icing or candy melts. Thanks for clearing that for me.
