What materials did you use? I used lots of fabrics that I dyed myself. Some of the birds are fancy cut. The applique patterns were from a "Lunch Box" quilt pattern. The way I used them was completely my own. This is all cotton.The birds are the front and the other side is the back. I started this quilt two years ago when my mom was on Hospice. She was an avid birder...so it is in memory of her that I made it. I also must tell you I learned to quilt from Craftsy and my quilting friends. This is my first quilt. I did not even know how to square up a block. A wonderful long arm quilter did the fancy quilting. I make most of my clothes, but never a quilt.
