My hippie quilt

top with backing

top with backing
top - used batiks
Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Funky, Mod, Whimsical, Hipster

Materials

quilting cotton, thread, straight pins, ruler, rotary cutter, sewing machine

What was your inspiration?

Loved the batiks! Had some fabric left from my first log cabin quilt, so used that as the sashing.

What are you most proud of?

lining up the rows

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

take your time - measure correctly. I don't have a lot of room, so it took me a long time to get it pinned for preparation of the quilting. I only have a regular sewing machine, so the quilting will not be anything fancy - just stitch in the ditch. I will put red binding on it when I am done wrestling with it for the stitching.

I am so sad we could not connect on this. But, it is beautiful. Thank you for your consideration.

I had asked you a few months back about the possibility of buying a quilt like this for my daughter. I was just wondering if you had decided on a price or if you aren't able to do this. Thank you.

Do you sell these or was this just for personal use? My daughter would LOVE this!

I do sell them, although this particular one is for personal use. It is a lot of fun. The colors are MUCH brighter in person.

I would love to see a finished picture and to know some prices. Her birthday is in March and it would be great to get one for her :) Thank you
