What was your inspiration?

I love making sugar roses! This class was so helpful in resolving some of my worst frustrations (turned out that Chef Nicolas Lodge had the same ones at some point!). My roses have not only improved greatly but my confidence has as well! I'm absolutely excited about the results I got with the few tweaks and changes that I learned in this class! My roses always ended up boxy on the bottom and that was covered up with piped flowers because my wires always came through the leaves... but no more! I'm so excited!!!! I need to improve how I place my leaves and the final wiring (that's a lot o wire there!) but I'm sure I'll master that with a few more rounds of step-by-step with this class and practice practice practice!

What are you most proud of?

I did it! Can't really be any more proud than I am! The thing I was most proud of was Mom's excitement when I finished my project and gave it to her to display at work :) THAT was a priceless moment!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a wonderful and very detailed class! I enjoyed the instructor very much and the information was amazing! Thank you so much, Chef Lodge, for sharing your wisdom! I felt encouraged the entire way through this class and even gained a great deal from the platform. I used that a lot (and the 30 sec. repeat). The best part of the platform was reading the questions and responses.... it is a great use of the platform and the fact that Chef Lodge actually answered carefully each and every time there was a question made me feel like I had a teacher who was actually devoted to helping us learn. This played a key role in my confidence (especially during a couple of disasters in which I remembered him saying to breathe!). This has to be the best Craftsy class I've taken and I feel like I got a steal! Really, if you are going for this class, you will not be disappointed even a little tiny bit!
