Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Gum paste, fondant (homemade), smbc, cream cheese frosting, carrot cake (bottom tier), red velvet (top tier), editable silver pearls, veining tool, Dresden tool, boning tool and a tracing wheel. I bought candles to go on the cake but in the process of making it I somehow forgot about them (probably because I didn't put them in the sketch). So I had to come up with something else. I had some fondant and styrofoam left and came up with that little dummy to hold the candles.
What are you most proud of? The tiara made from gum paste and my bottom tier. Amazing how realistic it looks with the stretch marks.
