For my first sweater, I used yarn I had and "cheap" yarn. It washed well. I never would have done this if it hadn't been for Amy's class. She breaks down the sweater process and makes it seem like one stitch after another....easy! I'm also working on teaching myself to knit like Amy does, because the transition from knit to purl seems easier and faster than the way I do. so a little of my knitting time is spent practicing "throwing" but it sure is fun! They say not to hope for much with a first sweater, but I still hope this turns out really well.....

Thanks, Miss Cara! This is such a relaxing knit....now to measure again to make sure I don't go too far and then start the shaping. That's what I'm looking forward to!
