My first sugar flower

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Classic Sugar Flowers: Peony, Anemone, Tulip »

Instructions

I was on a very tight budget so could not afford to purchase most of the items needed to make the peony as on the course. (I had a generic veiner, dresden tool, gumpaste and wires...that was about it!).

Instead I made do with what I had, cut the petals free-hand, rested the petals on apples to dry etc. This worked quite well as I wanted a very 'rustic' looking peony anyway!

Great job that's what's its all about being versatile as your not always going to have every cutter and veiner you need ! When I first started I used to use a lot of patterns , lay fresh petals or silk on top of the paste and cut around them ! You flower is perfect thank you for sharing ! Happy flower making andvsweetcwishes N x
