I was on a very tight budget so could not afford to purchase most of the items needed to make the peony as on the course. (I had a generic veiner, dresden tool, gumpaste and wires...that was about it!).Instead I made do with what I had, cut the petals free-hand, rested the petals on apples to dry etc. This worked quite well as I wanted a very 'rustic' looking peony anyway!
