What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't sew your free-motion foot to the project when you are stitching under the flaps! Unless you really intend to add it as embellishment! LOL

Cheap fabric is perfect for this technique since it frays better! (Loose weave!) I love this piece and the colors you chose are fabulous. The contrast of the couching and the dark lines was a perfect touch. Nice!
