i used cotton floral print with a rusty color swirly print I purchased a beautiful crystal button for the front (not showed) some snaps to close the purse, not showed.Because I finished the purse at the lake and forgot my camera!
What was your inspiration?
My daughter had a cross bag when we went on vacation, she was going to buy me one and i told he their too much money, so i happened to be at the grocery store and saw the Fons&Portor's magazine and when I came home looked through the book this purse caught mt eye, the front and the back have three little pockets . Gave it to my daughter for mothers day and now I have 10 family request for theirs.
What are you most proud of?
this was my very first purse and it came out professional and my daughters face was priceless!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
if this project confuses u do a puzzle lay out of the cut pieces, the directions for the straps were a little iffy first guess the purse was too short the second time after seam ripping the straps off, i figured it out that u don't sew the straps all the way to the bottom of the sides of the purse, you measure about 3 to 3 1/2" down from the TOP part of the purses band
