100% wool, worsted weight - natural tweed

What was your inspiration?

I've been knitting for a long time, but never knitted mittens or gloves, so I jumped on the opportunity!

What are you most proud of?

I'm getting so much better with DPNs - still have some 'ladders' but they're getting less with practice.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't give up - keep trying and practicing!

Stuck home on the East Coast with our non-friend Sandy, so I whipped up a matching earwarmer headband with the leftover wool, then cast on the second pair! Think these will be Convertible Mitts!

I love this class, but I only have one prob....I am used to knitting with two straight needles, right one steady under my armpit so I really struggle when i have to knit with cable needles or dpns although i do know how they are used...buaaagggg! I have to master this tecnique too, for knitting in the round and other projects but its really hard for one that has learned one way to learn again in another one..as you know, knitting style becomes automatic after a while and hands work by themselves kind of lol! ...Marly you are fab!

also, I never saw anyone in the internet, you tube, craftsy, ANYWHERE at all knitting like me, like women knit in my place (I come from Crete island, Greece)...thats really interesting to say the least hehehe.
