This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Classic Croissants at Home »

Instructions

It seems like a ton of work, but the results are so worth it.

Difficulty:

Category: Food & Cooking

Type of item: Food

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Flour, butter, yeast, eggs, sugar, salt

What was your inspiration?

Two of my four children are really crazy about croissants. I took my photos before they got home from school. They're going to be ecstatic!

What are you most proud of?

These are absolutely the best croissants I have ever tasted!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Watch the videos and follow along with all the great tips Colette gives along the way. You may need to order the parchment paper and yeast online. Now I have enough for several batches.

I'm french and i can tell you that it's exactly the "croissants" that i see in the "Boulangeries de Paris" Bravo. Just a detail, in France you never put chocolate sauce on "pain au chocolat" (chocolate croissant) to much for us and not easy to eat (you eat pain au chocolat by walking ....) Very impressive !

Thank you! I'd love to visit France some day. French food is my favorite! My husband makes a delicious coq au vin.
