What materials did you use? 2 fat quarters with Russian dolls, 1/3 yard (1/4 metre) purple contrast fabric and one cut up, unused pillowcase for the lining!

Saw the pattern for this bag and knew straight away I had to try it! I'm not a confident sewer, and, although not a rank beginner, my sewing skills are rather ordinary to say the least! I was nervous about it, but, reading through the instructions before I started I knew it was within my skill set. This is to be a Christmas present for my middle daughter, and I am going to make another one later this week for my youngest! Then one for myself. I didn't have a third contrast, so stuck with 2, and since I'd made the little bow a few days ago and hadn't made anything with it yet, I thought I'd add a "girly" touch and use it instead of a button. Now sitting back and giving myself a mental pat on the back while I have a well deserved cuppa and watch some cricket!
