What was your inspiration?

I wanted to knit something cute and found this pattern and asked my youngest son if he liked it and he said he would like it for his bed (he's 24 but still my baby)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

try the KnitPicks.com Brava acrylic yarn I used for this pillow. It's inexpensive, great colors and really soft and it's not squeeky when knitting and you can throw in washing machine and will come out the same.
About the pattern:I knitted the body longer than the pattern making it a rectangle instead of a square to accommodate the scarf at the neck as I explain bellow.
I crocheted circles for the eyes instead of using felt because I didn't have any.
I also placed the scarf above the wings where the neck should be instead of bellow as the designer did looking more like a belt. That means placing the wings a bit lower.
I also attached the scarf to the side of the pillow sewing one stitch with red yarn so it wouldn't get lost.
