My Blocks to date
In Craftsy's first-ever Block of the Month, Amy Gibson brings you 10 specific quilting techniques - appliqué, string quilting, paper piecing and more.
What materials did you use?
Fat quarters and pieces of material
Your color combinations are great. They all go so good together. Nice quilt!!!
Thank you very much, I bought the fabric in bundles at the fabric shop, they did the hard work of picking them out
This is the best combination of the blocks of the month put together in a quilt. Nice job! Very pretty.
Thank you very much
Love this! I think we may have similar taste in fabrics. I got a late start on this quilt but I am trying to catch up. I am currently working on the paper pieced blocks. They certainly take more time but I am enjoying the hand work.
Hi, thank you, yes, I have to say I just admired your work, the colours are fabulous. I have learnt so much on this course, I am struggling with the September blocks, it takes a long time pinning the curve to the other curve, but slow and steady...
your blocks are looking great, it really is fun, isn't it?
What a lovely colour combination! Are the fabrics all from the same range? You said you bought a bundle from your quilt shop - did it have a label saying what they were? Red is my favourite colour and this is so nice!
It was just bundled up on the counter, I think I bought two or three. The colours are really nice but struggling to know what backing fabric to buy - ideally I would like black with red flowers I think or something like it but it's not that easy to find HA
Have you looked on line? There are loads and loads of online fabric suppliers and browsing their shops is a wonderful time-waster! I normally only use the ones that offer either free or very low postage rates, so it's more or less the same as visiting a shop.
