What was your inspiration?

I'm a larger woman, and it's sometimes tough to find attractive and unique sweaters. I learned the basics of knitting in January 2011 so that I could start making some interesting things for myself.

What are you most proud of?

This was my first attempt at a sweater. Since it is all stockingette except the ruffle, I thought that it would be an easy first project. It was a little more challenging than I thought, but I persevered and got it done.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Count rows and put in markers every so often. This will make it much easier to ensure the back and the front match. I would also suggest putting in some shaping if you have the skill to do so.
