What materials did you use?
What are you most proud of?
Having acheived making such a large quilt
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
make a smaller piece and master the art of 'joining' the pieces thereby avoiding the slight mis matching I have done.
Love to know how you did this quilt as you go project. I've only done rag quilts as you go. Where did you find the instructions. Looks beautiful. I've only completed one baby, and 2 rag quilts.
Glad you like it I was inspired by this blog http://welshquilter.blogspot.com/2008/02/quilt-as-you-go.html Then I browsed other blogs and was inspired to try the half square triangles, Jenny Doan has some very good videos on U tube. I then decided to go for it. Each one of my 'squares' has 32 triangles. This other blog also inspired me http://quiltstory.blogspot.com/2010/11/dutch-pinwheel-tutorial.html. Hope this helps you. My next quilt is a Disney Winnie the Pooh baby quilt, just have to figure out how I am going to do the lay out etc. Good luck
You did a beautiful job for your first free-motion quilting.
This is so beautiful! Everything about it. I think you've found your nitch.
Very nice I haven't tried quilt as you go yet, someday will give it a go.
