What was your inspiration?
A little heart dangling on a birthday card my sister gave me.
What are you most proud of?
The prettiness of this mug rug and the simplicity of it. It doesn't matter if you can't sew in a straight line - it will still look good - in fact it might even look a little more quirky and lovely.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
As with all Patchsmith patterns - it is about having fun with fabric. Mix and match - go for one colour or one style. And if you are in a rush then just cut each letter from one piece of pretty fabric. Play around, slant the letters and create a lovely little gift. (for yourself or your mum or a new mum).
