What materials did you use? Scraps of fabric - none any bigger than 9" x 5"

What are you most proud of? The prettiness of this mug rug and the simplicity of it. It doesn't matter if you can't sew in a straight line - it will still look good - in fact it might even look a little more quirky and lovely.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? As with all Patchsmith patterns - it is about having fun with fabric. Mix and match - go for one colour or one style. And if you are in a rush then just cut each letter from one piece of pretty fabric. Play around, slant the letters and create a lovely little gift. (for yourself or your mum or a new mum).

Now, how cute is that! Love it. Love the fabrics, love the hearts and flowers, love the "Mum". Yup, guess I love the whole thing.

The fabric is "Wingin It" by The Buggy Barn plus a strip of blue floral from my stash. It was really quick to put together. So glad you love it.
