I am currently working on a multi strand necklace. Spaced one and half inch apart crytals, pearls, and gemstones with a crimp bead holding them in place and apart each crimp is covered with a stardust decorated crimp bead cover. My problem is every so many sets the crimp bead cover cuts through the soft flex wire. Other than being more careful and not closing cover too tight what else can I do?

Hi. I saw your comment/problem and then when I was shopping at JoAnn.com a few minutes later, I saw that they sell a "crimp cover plier". This is different from the tool used to close the crimp beads. It's made exclusively for attaching the covers. I can't vouch for it as I've never used one but it sounds like this may help you. Here is the link (but you can probably find a similar tool elsewhere.) Good luck http://www.joann.com/crimp-cover-closing-pliers/12351730.html#start=34
