What was your inspiration?
I wanted to spread the love this Christmas. I saw these fabrics in my local store and got the idea for easy Mug Rugs. Very Retro, my brother has just done his apartment up in retro colours so that was the inspiration. I have made about 36 of these and wrapped them in sets of four.
So to me Christmas is about the act of giving thoughtful gifts - not grabbing anything off a shelf in a store. Have given out some already and the feedback has been awesome!
What are you most proud of?
I think they look great and the fact I was able to make so many so quickly for gifts that my friends really like is wonderful.
Mind you they all received a parcel of homemade shortbreads too!!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Go on U-Tube and watch some tutorials. This is an extremely easy project.
