Category: Knitting

Type of item: Functional

For: Plus-sized

Style: Classic, Funky, Casual, Traditional, Mod, Eco-Friendly, Hipster, Geeky

Materials

Less than one 55 yd roll of duct tape. Best friend. Daughter. Non-stick scissors. Fan. Handkerchief for hair. Cardboard for base. Old towel to plug holes.

What was your inspiration?

Made for fitting knits.

What are you most proud of?

That I wasn't too embarrassed to have my best friend tape me up.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go to the bathroom before you start.
Have a fan blowing on you.
Keep a good sense of humor and your eye on the prize.

Great job on your duct tape dress form! Good helpful pictures too. I want to make one for myself soon. Hopefully I can convince my DS or DH to help me with this project. (looks like it's a 2 - 3 person project?)

Thanks for the positive comment - 2 people, one model, one taping - I think 3 would just get confusing. Have fun, looking forward to yours!
