Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Thread Art »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Hipster, Funky, Casual

Materials

Fat Quarter fabrics, batting, glue sticks, thread, coloring pencils.

What was your inspiration?

I love thread art, learning so much in the class. I loved doing the hat!

What are you most proud of?

How I am bursting with creativity and have started designing my own drawings. I'm feeling more confident with freehand quilting and etch out background.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Slow down, pace yourself and go for it. It can only get better!

Thank you all for your replies. To Lisa7337, for me at first it seemed like I couldn't do this art without actually knowing how to quilt or sew. But I am still learning and in the process of getting better. Lola Jenkins is a great teacher for this class so glad I found a passion and I am sticking with it. And by the way, I watched the video 4-5 times and I still watch it, but that's the great thing about the courses. The class itself is not hard, we only put boundaries on ourselves, go ahead and try it, you'll love it!
